Whats been happenin'?

Picture overload!
This always happens when I wait too long to blog :/

The 13th was Macy's birthday. The family decided to meet up at Alli and Kyles for "the party" and then on Saturday the boys were going skiing/boarding.
Well the snow at Sunrise didn't materialize (till the next week :/ bummer) so the guys stayed at the house with us.
We had pizza from Mr. G's for Macys birthday and played Rock Band and Dance Dance Revolution. Bobby was soo funny!. Saturday we headed up to the rock shop and hiked up Petroglyph Hill. It was pretty cool.

Theme for this year?

I finished (well, almost everything but hand sewing the binding) Macys baby quilt. She turned 1 on Wednesday, so this is another "better late than never".
The fabric is Sandy Gervias by Moda from several years ago, the pattern is from the book "Even more quilts for baby". The original pattern has 6 blocks- I prefer square rather than long so I added 3 more blocks and did the yellow piano keys border rather than a plain one. Quilted every other pk, and then stitch in the ditch the center. Its a bit wrinkly from setting in the dryer :/

Better late than never?

I started this table runner before Thanksgiving. Of course it didn't get finished, until now. I was packing up some of the fall decorations I got while at Allisons last week (they had a screaming sale on Fall decorations at Alco) and thought I might as well finish the table runner and pack it up also. Unfinished projects make me crazy! And until I was a "quilter" I always, always finished a project before starting a new one. Well, a quilter has many "irons in the fire" :/ It may go back to that "so many patterns/fabric so little time". Every year I want to get unfinished projects (UFO) done before starting new ones. Then the fabric manufacturers come out with some amazing new design or block of the month (BOM) that is crying out to live in my sewing room. *sigh*
At least this one is done, and next Thanksgiving it will be great to have it done for the table :) Better late than never, right?
