Wool Garden Wall-hanging

This was a block of the month (BOM) kit that I got from The Christmas Goose in Las Vegas .
A couple years ago we were camping with my sisters family and she had started the blocks (she works at CG), course I had to have it! Its sooo cute!
The blocks have been finished for quite some time, just needed to put it together.
The original pattern called for a small border between the blocks and wool outer border with "pennies".

When my sister finished hers, she put a large rick-rack around the center and then a blue homespun plaid outer border with scallops. When I was at the shop in July they had this great red homespun plaid on sale so I got enough to do my quilt with.
I put a jumbo rick-rack (with half showing- couldn't find more of the rick -rack that came with the quilt :/) between the center and border, quilted around the baskets on the blocks, through the rick-rack and a free form scallop in the outside border. The quilting isn't all that great, thankfully there are no "quilt police"!

Worked on the binding last night while watching "House".
I love the wool- it gives such a great texture and color variety !
